The unique concept of Ministry Discounts began in 1997 as the brainchild of a retired advertising executive who also served as a board member of his church.  This savvy businessman had observed his church’s purchasing process and felt it was entirely too cumbersome and limiting.  There simply had to be a better way to research and purchase products and services from reputable companies that were familiar with the special needs of ministries.  Thus was born a revolutionary idea, ChurchBargains.net.  This visionary Christian began mailing weekly newsletters to churches in his area.  These newsletters were filled with details of discounted products and services utilized by his church.  Ministry Discounts acquired ChurchBargains.net after the owner passed away, and we have been busy completely overhauling the system and its communications.
